For many travelers, tours and guided excursions are a great way of seeing a lot of sites in a limited amount of time. This is especially true for cruise passengers who may only have a few hours in a port or passengers who will only be in a particular city or area for a few days.
Most cruise lines and tour operators offer sightseeing excursions as options. You can purchase many tours in advance if you are going on a land package. Cruise excursions can be purchased in advance, many times on the cruise line’s website, or at the shore excursion desk on board.
